cnlab UX Test - Speedtest
Data Protection Policy - cnlab UX Test

Information Collection and Use

The aim of cnlab UX Test applications is to identify reasons for performance loss and allow objective statements on the quality of offers by Internet Service Providers (ISP). So that people who conduct performance tests can later see all their results, each tester is assigned random user numbers (UserID).

cnlab provides the cnlab UX Test applications free of charge. The applications are financed by ISPs and other organizations that operate cnlab ux test reference systems and, as cnlab customers, use the performance test evaluations (cf. cnlab performance reference customers, https://www.cnlab.ch/en/referenzen/performance).

In order to reliably check the performance of the ISP's offers and to be able to exclude undesirable influences on the measurement, cnlab records not only the performance measurement values but also the location and IP addresses of the testers as well as technical data on the devices used (computer, smartphone) the connection devices (router) and - with cnlab licensees - also to the internet connection access.

With the error messages (Trouble Tickets), users provide cnlab and their ISP with a link to the measurement results as well as personal data (surname, first name, address, email address and telephone number) so that they can cnlab and / or the ISP can contact for further clarification. Only cnlab employees and helpdesk employees at their ISP have access to this data. Trouble tickets are kept for at least 6 months.

cnlab will not pass on any data derived from the UX Test to any other organizations.
